Trends Dominate at SupplyExpo 2009 —Functional Ingredients Editors to Host Trends Tour

Functional Ingredients magazine editors are set to host a trends tour at SupplyExpo, March 5-8, 2009 co-located with Natural Products Expo West and produced by New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media. Total raw material & ingredient sales to the U.S. nutrition industry grew 9.9% to $7.6 billion (NBJ, Dec. 2008) in 2007, so trends in this sector are more important than ever. In January 2009 Functional Ingredients magazine, forecasted 30 trends including Cosmeceuticals, Vitamin D, Synbiotics, Stevia, Algae, Omega-3s and many more.

Functional Ingredients editors will introduce media and show attendees to some of today and tomorrows’ predicted best sellers, by featuring a spectrum companies exhibiting trends on the SupplyExpo show floor. A few featured exhibitors include:

On Friday, March 6 the tour is for open only to media who are interested in meeting some of the company representatives that are leading the way in trend setting. The Saturday tour, on March 7 is open to SupplyExpo and Natural Products Expo attendees. Tour attendees will have 10 minutes at each booth and then move on to the next company.
