On 25 August 2008, JT will launch “Kono Goro Ki ni Naru Jibun no Seikatsu (Lately I’ve Been Worried About My Lifestyle)” sugarless black coffee nationwide (150 ml/JPY 124). The product, which contains indigestible dextrin, focuses on the issue of “sugar”. It is the first FOSHU product focusing on post-meal consumption. As well as being recognized as a post-meal drink, the product has been developed with a coffee taste, which is popular among the target audience of men over 40. The beverage was FOSHU approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a drink that is scientifically proven to be effective in calming the rise in blood sugar levels after eating.
