Optimum Nutrition Employees Band Together to Raise Money for Hurricane Victims

Aurora, IL (September 23, 2005) – Optimum Nutrition, Inc. established a Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, and each dollar donated by employees was matched by the company to help contribute to the provision of shelter, food, counseling, and other assistance to those in need.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of the Gulf Coast who were tragically affected by the hurricane; and we, at Optimum Nutrition, Inc., feel obligated as citizens of this country to do what we can to help these people rebuild their lives,” commented Jen Larimer, Director of Administration at Optimum Nutrition.

The more than $4,000 raised by Optimum Nutrition was donated directly to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief fund. In addition, the combined monetary donation was supplemented with product donations including a semi-truckload of nutrition bars, protein bites, and bottled beverages, which were pledged to America’s Second Harvest.
