'Nutrition in Focus' Program Hopes to Change Attitudes About Food
PHOENIX, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Albertsons (NYSE: ABS) is making a commitment to educating people about making smart food choices with the launch of the 'Nutrition in Focus' program, featuring a dietitian -- Michelle Gorman -- dedicated to its Southwest Division. Albertsons is the only food retailer in Arizona and New Mexico to offer a 'dietitian on-call' to anyone with nutritional questions and concerns.

Gorman will join Albertsons' six other Corporate Dietitians who offer similar programs in other divisions across the country.
The Nutrition in Focus program will strengthen Albertsons' role as a resource for healthy eating to include food preparation tips and nutritional information for shoppers and employees -- both online and in stores. The program is designed to help customers make practical choices through grocery shopping tips and tasty meal solutions. Consumers can find Gorman's photo and helpful suggestions incorporated into Albertsons' bi-monthly advertising inserts, in-store displays and Web site ( www.albertsons.com ) under 'Healthy Eating.'
