Mannatech, Inc. Announces Promotions

COPPELL, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 2003--Mannatech, Inc. (Nasdaq:MTEX) today announced two internal promotions. The promoted executives have helped take Mannatech, producer of the Ambrotose complex nutritional supplement, to a position of leadership in the networking wellness industry.

Jeffrey Bourgoyne, formerly Vice President of Operations, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Associate Care. Mr. Bourgoyne, in his new assignment, will be responsible for overseeing the product supply chain from product development and regulatory requirements to order fulfillment and distribution to associates. Terry Persinger, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mannatech, stated, "As we grow our company globally, uniting our product supply chain under one leader will optimize our coordination efforts." Mr. Bourgoyne, 41, initially joined Mannatech in 1997 as Director of Distribution. Bourgoyne holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, a BS in Management from the University of New Orleans and a C.P.M. certification from the Institute of Supply Management.

Natalie Logan was named Vice President of Business Systems to support the focus of the company on its strategic initiatives to continually improve Associate and business growth on a global basis. Ms. Logan will be responsible for supporting both short and long range strategies directed toward profitability growth, new market expansions, and Associate skills enhancement. Mr. Persinger commented, "Natalie's nine years of experience with Mannatech in such areas as Associate service and training, commission plan development, compliance, and project management have uniquely prepared her for directing these key responsibilities." Ms. Logan, 42, joined Mannatech in 1994 in Customer Service.

Sam Caster, Chairman and C.E.O., added, "In the last few years, Mannatech has focused on developing the executive leaders from within our ranks to help expand Mannatech in existing and new global markets. An emphasis has been on developing business systems and project management skills throughout the Company.
