WASHINGTON, D.C., January 16, 2008 — The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the dietary supplement industry’s leading trade association, is pleased to announce the addition of the following five members to its membership roster: voting members—GlaxoSmithKline of Parsippany, N.J.; LycoRed of Orange, N.J.; and Novartis Consumer Health of Parsippany, N.J.; associate members—New Hope Natural Media of Boulder, Colo.; and Quality Systems Design of North Wales, Pa.

GlaxoSmithKline, headquartered in the UK with operations in the U.S., is a research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare company with a broad range of products including nutritional supplements. GlaxoSmithKline will receive a permanent seat on CRN’s Board of Directors.
